Zusammenfassung

DECIPHER is a web-based database of Comparative Genomic Hybridization (CGH) array data and phenotypes from patients with developmental disorders, developed at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. The data, with appropriate informed consent, is freely available for public use. DECIPHER has proven to be an effective diagnostic tool for elucidation of new syndromes and provides bioinformatic tools for interpretation of Copy Number Variation (CNV) in developmental disorders. In this presentation I will give an overview of how the database works and briefly discuss some of the tools available for CNV analysis and visualization.
